Can you define how many mls a small wine glass is in your "What is moderation page" Regards, Alex Henderson Dear Alex Henderson, Thanks for your email. As you're from down under, I am not sure which Drinking and you website you surfed, but I am presuming it is the UK version. A UK 'unit' is 8g - hence 'a small glass of wine' of 125ml at 9% is a unit. Personally I do not know of many wines at 9% - so to give you a more accurate idea, a 125ml glass of wine of 12% equates to 1.5 units. I believe that Australian Government sensible drinking guidelines are still under review and have not been republished yet. When they are, we are hoping to build an Australian Drinking and You website if there is sufficient interest from the industry. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you ahve any further queries. Your sincerely, Helena Conibear Editorial Director |
